What do Dermal Filler Treatments do?
Filler treatments are used to plump and smooth skin and restore facial volume. Filler is commonly used in the lips and other facial areas. It feels natural to the touch and allows for normal movement and facial expressions.
The treatment's effects can be long-lasting, up to 6 months or more, depending on where it's injected and how much product is used.
Filler types
Revanesse Versa is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that can be used to enhance facial volume. It is often used in the lips and cheeks.
Belotero Balance is a derma filler that is used to temporarily smooth out and fill in fine lines and wrinkles. It is particularly effective for moderate to severe nasolabial folds.
What to Expect When Getting Filler Treatments
Before Filler Treatments
- Avoid using "anti-aging" products like retinol 1-2 days prior to your appointment.
- Wash your face and remove makeup before your appointment.
- Clear a flat surface and provide a comfortable seating option for your treatment. You might clean for the house cleaner, but no need to tidy up for us!
During Filler Treatments
- Your provider will review your treatment plan upon arrival, provide an assessment, and explain how your treatment will work.
- A topical numbing cream may be applied to decrease sensitivity.
- Injections will be quick and completed within a few minutes. You can expect small pinches, but nothing too painful!
After Filler Treatments
- Apply an icepack to reduce bruising and swelling.
- Refrain from intense workouts and excessive alcohol intake 24 hours post-treatment.
- Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.
- Filler results typically appear within days with minimal downtime.
- Your provider will follow up after your appointment to ensure satisfaction and plan further steps.
