What are the benefits of Chemical Peels?
Chemical peels remove the top layers of the skin to reveal smoother glowing skin. Peels address a variety of needs including sun damage, wrinkles, acne scars, fine lines, uneven skin tones, and more.
BioRePeel is our "no-peel" chemical peel. This treatment uses natural acids, enzymes, and vitamins to gently exfoliate and stimulate cellular regeneration, with minimal to no downtime.
This anti-aging treatment will help your skin glow while treating fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation issues, skin texture, acne, and scarring. Clients may do one peel, or several over multiple sessions.
VI Peel is a brand name peel designed to lift pigment, smooth texture, remove sun damage, alleviate acne and scarring, and fight fine lines and wrinkles. It is particularly effective before special events for a quick "glow" boost.
This beauty peel typically causes peeling on days 3 to 5 after application, with most exfoliation subsiding by day 6. Results can be seen within 7 days, and it can be applied every 3 months at most.
What to Expect When Getting Chemical Peel Treatments
Before a Chemical Peel
- Avoid using "anti-aging" products like retinol 1-2 days prior to your appointment.
- Wash your face and remove makeup before your appointment.
- Clear a flat surface and provide a comfortable area to lay down for your treatment. You might clean for the cleaner, but no need to tidy up for us!
During a Chemical Peel
- Your provider will review your treatment plan upon arrival, provide an assessment, and explain how your treatment will work.
- A solution will be applied to your skin by your provider. The treatment should take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes.
After a Chemical Peel
(Post-care varies depending on peel type)
- Stay out of the sun and use sunscreen daily of 30 SPF or stronger (as you should already be doing to protect your skin!)
- Avoid facial treatments, including waxing, for at least 14 days post-peel.
- Depending on Peel type, results will be seen anywhere from immediately to 7 days post-appointment, revealing brighter, renewed, and glowing skin!
- Your provider will follow up after your appointment to ensure satisfaction and plan further steps.
